It is a popular pet due to its size, good temper, and lack of inherited health problems.  The general appearance of the Beagle resembles a miniature Foxhound, but the head is broader and the muzzle shorter, the expression completely different and the legs shorter in proportion to the body.

The Cheagle is a new designer dog resulting between beagle and Chihuahua.  These cute looking dogs are mostly broad-headed as the Beagle also having a snout similar to its Chihuahua parent. The Cheagle can be a little difficult to train and it is not uncommon for this breed to develop Small Dog Syndrome.

The playful, fun-loving nature of the Beagle may be highly observed in them. These loyal dogs might follow the footsteps of its Chihuahua parent in displaying protectiveness or inclination towards a particular member of their family over other people.
