Belgian Tervuren

The Tervuren is named after a village in Belgium. He is alert and watchful, but he also has a sense of humor. He is an excellent watchdog and has the size and ability to be protective when necessary. It is smart and obedient, but independent. It is aloof with strangers and can be aggressive toward other dogs and animals. His double coat needs brushing and combing twice weekly, more often when shedding.
