The Xoloitzcuintli is a hairless breed of dog, is also known as Mexican hairless dog. The hairless has tough, smooth, close-fitting skin. The coated variety is covered by a short, flat coat. The Xoloitzcuintli graceful, elegant body is surprisingly strong and rugged. He is loyal, happy, and smart, but at times he can be stubborn and headstrong. The young dogs require a substantial amount of exercise and structured playtime. He is a good watchdog and has a tendency to be protective of his family and territory.
