Welsh Springer Spaniel

The Welsh Springer Spaniel is a breed of dog and a member of the spaniel family. Loyal and affectionate, they can become very attached to family members and are wary of strangers. It still needs plenty of hard exercise, however, as it loves to hunt for birds. Although not an aggressive dog, the Welsh Springer Spaniel makes a good watchdog. He will readily bark to inform his family that someone or something is around. They will alert you that someone is approaching the house, though they are too shy to be effective guard dogs.
