The Lakeland Terrier is a small to medium-size dog breed. Its double coat consists of a soft undercoat and a hard, wiry outer coat. It is reserved with strangers and usually aggressive toward other dogs and small animals. Lakelands are good family dogs and enjoy the company of older, well behaved children. They are reserved with strangers, but are generally not aggressive toward people.
