The English Foxhound is one of the four foxhound breeds of dog. They are the scent hounds usually bred to hunt foxes. The legs are muscular, straight-boned, and the paws are rounded, almost cat-like. These pack-oriented, scent-driven hounds are gentle and sociable, but rarely seen as house pets. He loves people and other dogs and should never be left to live alone with little human or canine companionship. It is an avid sniffer and trailer, however, and needs daily exercise in a safe area.
