The Boerboel is a large, Molosser-type breed from South Africa. This is a smart dog with a strong work ethic and a self-assured temperament. The imposing Boerboel is devoted to protecting the people and places he loves. This is a trainable, versatile breed, eager to spend time with their adored humans. He usually gets along well with other animals and highly devoted to family and affectionate with children it knows, but can be aggressive toward strangers.
