The American Eskimo Dog is a breed of companion dog, originating in Germany. The American Eskimo Dog has a slightly long body and a compact build, very much resembling the Nordic Spitz type. The Eskie is clever, active and mischievous. He is sensitive and dislikes discord among family members. American Eskimo dogs are generally quite vocal, barking at any stranger who comes in proximity to their owners’ territory.
